STREET WARDEN – In and around Newark and Sherwood District
Newark and Sherwood District Council, is passionate about providing high quality, customer focused housing services to local people, putting tenant’s needs at the heart of everything, enabling local tenants, leaseholders and residents to live in a Cleaner, Safer, Greener environment.
Providing a visible presence on our housing estates, you will assist in the effective estate management service offered to tenants and leaseholders.
You will play a key role in ensuring these estates are a clean, safe and pleasant environment to live in, by identifying low level breaches of tenancy and anti-social behaviour, and working with tenants, leaseholders and residents to enhance and enjoy their community.
Excellent communication skills are essential, along with a full driving licence. You’ll also need good experience of dealing with the general public, and of acting as a point of communication between local communities, the Police and other agencies.
You must be able to carry out minor repairs and maintenance to properties and the Company requires post holders to work flexibly in this role to achieve positive outcomes for all stakeholders in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
In line with public sector requirements, the successful applicant will be able to communicate fluently, in English
