The role is currently operating remotely due to public health guidance but the office base is County Hall, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 2DW. Surrey County Council has stated that it intends to move its headquarters into Surrey in the future. No decision has yet been made on location or timing.
About the role
We are looking for a friendly, professional and customer focused individual who can work as part of a team. The role involves providing a responsive administration service to the officers of Democratic Services and all 81 County Councillors.
As part of the Business Support Team, you will take responsibility for assigned administration processes and will be a first point of contact for officers and councillors in need of support. Specific work areas will include Time (SAP) and Finance administration alongside providing some PA support for Democratic Services Senior Management Team. Training in our systems will be provided but an aptitude for IT is essential.
This is a varied and busy role. The post holder must be calm, customer-orientated and have the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
