Are you a motivated, talented communicator with an excellent track record of managing media relations and creating engaging digital content? If so, you might be just the person we need.
As well as experience of handling traditional news media you will also be comfortable working in the digital communications world – creating exceptional written and visual content not only for news outlets but for social media, web pages, and online news channels.
You’ll work as part of a highly professional and skilled communications team running social marketing and PR campaigns to achieve behavioural change, and keep East Sussex residents informed and updated.
You’ll not only be dealing with journalists’ enquiries and writing headline grabbing press releases, but also creating online content that will be useful, interesting and engaging to help build our digital audience.
The work is diverse and varied – one day you might be working on a campaign to recruit foster carers, the next day you might be working on messaging for a road safety campaign.
Experience of working in a political environment for an organisation that is publicly accountable would be an advantage, but is not essential. However, a can-do attitude and a creative mind most certainly are.
