Folkestone & Hythe is a dynamic and innovative place to live, work and visit. Based in our modern offices in the heart of Folkestone, with easy access to transport links, local shops, entertainment facilities and the seafront, we offer a flexible working environment, corporate membership and reward schemes, Employee Assistance Programme, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Working within the Strategy, Policy and Performance Team, you can be expected to be involved in a wide spectrum of planning work helping to deliver the Council's statutory and non-statutory functions including providing support on the emerging plan and its examination. You will need to be able to communicate effectively, be proactive with a can-do attitude and able to manage a demanding workload to meet identified deadlines.
The team will be adopting the Places and Policies Local Plan shortly and is currently carrying out a partial review of the Core Strategy, with the examination imminent. The Core Strategy Review contains ambitious plans for Otterpool Park a new garden town near Folkestone.
If you fancy influencing the exciting changes ahead, perhaps you’d like to come and work for us.
