The importance of public health has never been higher in our community and we are looking for a talented new Consultant to join our team at North Somerset Council.
You will hold an exciting portfolio focused on health protection, sexual health and children’s public health. You will be expected to contribute at a strategic level across the Council and partnership forums, commission essential services and be responsible for a number of team managers. You will also be expected to be or train to be an educational supervisor.
You may be looking for your first consultant post or already have that experience but will be expected to have experience of shaping transformational change and be able to demonstrate leadership skills. You will need to have a passion for reducing inequalities, an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in North Somerset and a provide clear focus on achieving sustainable improvements in health and wellbeing outcomes.
You will play a vital part in ensuring that, as a council and place, we are delivering efficient, effective services and support to the people of North Somerset by building strong communities. In return, we'll help you to achieve a healthy work-life balance while rewarding you along the way.
