Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week.
Based in Hastings with delivery in Bexhill and Sidley with travel expected across Rother and East Sussex.
Covid 19 - remote working from home (with equipment provided by SCDA) is expected.
Salary £20,494 - £23,080 per annum, dependant on skills & experience.
Post currently funded to 31 December 2022.

About the role
Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA) delivers a range of projects & services aimed at supporting the needs of vulnerable individuals and empowering and further developing community activity. We are now looking for an experienced individual to join our Employability team. Live, Work Thrive is a Connecting Hastings and Rother Together (CHART) project funded by the European Structural and Investment Funds and Hastings Borough Council and Rother District Council.
The Live Work Thrive Coach will be responsible for supporting SCDA participants along their journey through the service provided by this CHART project. This is a partnership project between Hastings Borough Council, Rother District Council, Fellowship of St Nicholas (FSN), Education Futures Trust (EFT) and Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA). The service is designed to improve access to employment support and work for homeless households to secure long-term housing and re-engagement with the community. The service is a new initiative and will be delivered across the Hastings and Rother region, with this post-holder’s main focus of delivery being in Bexhill and Sidley.
The Coach will work with the Project Manager to manage referred participants to the Live, Work, Thrive project. The Coach will provide a supportive and collaborative service to help develop individual plans of support. This includes identifying work opportunities that are suitable to the individual, whilst liaising with partners regarding specific housing challenges.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and will be a confident and credible ambassador for SCDA, showing sensitivity to the aims and values of the organisation as a whole.
Post subject to a DBS check and based in the Bexhill/Hastings area, with extensive travel across East Sussex and Rother region.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
