The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
About the role
Level 1: Grade 1, SCP 2, £15,385 (FTE £17,364) per annum PRO RATA TERM TIME ONLY
Level 2: Grade 3 , SCP 7 – 10, £16,006 - £16,653 (FTE £18,065 - £18,795) per annum PRO RATA TERM TIME ONLY
Level 3: Grade 5, SCP 12 – 14, £16,986 - £17,673 (FTE £19,171 - £19,946) per annum PRO RATA TERM TIME ONLY
We are looking for six enthusiastic and committed teaching assistants to be part of an incredible team being put together for an exciting new special school in Hailsham, East Sussex.
Opening in September 2020, The Ropemakers' Academy will provide outstanding provision for 80 children aged between 4 and 16 with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs and/or with autism. The school will be part of The Beckmead Trust, who have a proven record of providing outstanding care and support for a range of children with Special Educational Needs.
You will be part of a team resolutely dedicated to providing the very best education for our pupils, using your natural caring and nurturing ethos to allow them to feel safe, valued and trusted. As a result of their needs, some of our pupils may present with challenging emotional responses, and so you will need to be reflective, adaptive and resilient.
