We are seeking an experienced creative individual to lead our already successful Rights, Participation and Corporate Parenting Service, we have big ambitions for our children and young people and high expectations of our corporate parents and partners. You should be educated to degree level and hold a professional childcare qualification. You will have a good knowledge of advocacy and how this unique role adds value to a young person’s journey. You will be passionate about children’s rights and participation and feel confident to ensure that children and young people’s experiences are shared across the Trust.
The Rights and Participation Service also supports our Children in Care Council, Care Leavers Forum and Independent Visitors Project. You will have an understanding of this work and ensure that the Trust receives regular reports.
You will oversee the work of our Corporate Parenting Team and support young people to influence our corporate parenting strategy and attend board meetings. The team has made exciting links with business community and we have a well-established network of partners as a Trust we want to formalise and further develop these arrangements There is an ambition to work with partners to develop a charitable arm which will further enhance opportunities for children and young people.
