The Young People’s Support Team offer 1:1 frontline support to Young People and their Families in the community. The Young People’s Support Team is part of the transformation of adolescence partnership working to offer targeted, intensive support for our most vulnerable young people at risk of serious youth violence, at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, at risk of entering the criminal justice system and at risk of entering care.
We know that the only way to protect our most vulnerable children is to value and support our talented Intensive Support Workers and we are looking for the finest Intensive Support Workers to join our progressive teams and in return to offer you the opportunity to develop, train to progress in your career and find your greatness.
The role will see you work creatively, in the delivery of face-to face sessions with young people and their families, that enable our customers are well informed and have influence over their own outcomes, through the provision of professional advice and support. You will be part of a creative, customer focussed, and passionate advocates of young people.
You must have experience of direct work with adolescents in both the delivery, planning and assessment of their needs.
You will have extensive experience of working 1:1 with young people whom are at risk of exploitation and demonstrate an understanding of the challenges faced by young people.
Time Management, emotional resilience, multi-tasking and an ability to be determined, and remain calm and professional will need to be demonstrated. You will have access to a Car, hold a valid UK Driving Licence and Insurance. You will have good IT skills and be able a able to communicate both verbally and through sessions plans and interventions.
It is desirable for applicants to have a qualification and/ or training in Child Development, Youth Work and Child Criminal and Sexual Exploitation.
