This is an exciting opportunity to join the Economic Development Team at West Berkshire District Council.
As the impact of Covid-19 becomes clearer, West Berkshire Council will be developing a supplement to its Economic Development Strategy which will outline the work required to ensure the district remains a place where people want to live, thrive and do business.
The team is seeking to recruit an Economic Development Officer to help deliver the projects within the existing Economic Development Strategy and to work with the authority’s partners on further Covid-19 economic recovery plans.
You will need to be someone who relishes a challenge, has a keen eye for detail and is self-motivated. You will have good research skills, excellent written skills and the ability to analyse economic data. Added to this, you will have a good understanding of the district’s economy, strong organisational skills and well-developed influencing, negotiation and intrapersonal skills.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
