We recognise it can be a daunting and exciting prospect when embarking on a career as a Social Worker. We at the Trust want to ensure that that you have the best experience possible, in your first year in practice and beyond. With that in mind we have developed a brand-new approach to help support you the potential newest member to our team. We would like you to join our ASYE Academy. This academy has been designed in conjunction with experienced practitioners and some of our very own NQSWs.
The Social Work Academy will help to ease the transition from university into practice providing support to enable you to be the best practitioner you can be. We will provide you with a holistic programme that will enrich your experience and support your development. You will receive a robust induction period, gain valuable learning opportunities and develop a network of peer support. It doesn’t end there we also have ongoing learning and development opportunities at the end of your year to support your continued professional development.
We will also provide you with the opportunity to focus on your wellbeing and support you to think about how we can work together, to ensure you are able to maintain a good work life balance. The Trust’s practice model is relationship-based practice and this is at the heart of all we do; it’s how we work with each other, partners and children, young people and families.
