Homes First is a young organisation providing housing and property services to the residents of Lewes and Eastbourne Councils.

Following the appointment of a new Property Services Lead we are creating our own in-house Asset Investment Team:

The Asset Investment Manager will be responsible for identifying and planning capital budgets of between £8 and £10 million, the asset management database (soon to be populated from a 100% stock condition survey) and the development of the Asset Management Strategy.

Both Councils have declared a Climate Emergency, and the team will receive additional resources to develop and deliver projects to combat climate change and reduce the carbon footprint of the housing stock.

This is a great opportunity to be in at the beginning of a new way of working. You will have line-management responsibility for two part-time members of staff and deputise for the Asset Investment Manager in her/his absence.

This is a specialist role, involving the modelling of asset data to formulate investment programmes in line with the Business Plans of Lewes and Eastbourne Councils. The post holder will be responsible for optimising the value of assets and considering alternative usage / tenures, acquisitions and disposals and monitoring programme delivery and financial commitments.

If you are suitably experienced with a high level of numeracy skills, sound knowledge of housing finance we can offer this challenging and rewarding role. A knowledge of options evaluation tools and techniques would be an advantage.

For an informal discussion regarding the role, please contact Simon Watts, Property Services Lead on 07808 263765
