Ealing Council delivers a forensic social work service across medium and low secure settings to men and women within the West London Forensic Service based in Southall, Middlesex.
We work within well-resourced multi-disciplinary teams contributing to risk assessments and care planning for mentally disordered offenders. We address the social care needs of patients within our service and their carers in accordance with National Standards and we operate to the Forensic Social Work Professional Capability Framework (2016).
Practising AMHPs are entitled to an additional allowance of £2546.00 per annum.
We are seeking to recruit professionally qualified mental health social workers across our men's low and medium secure service. Your post qualification experience will include working in a statutory forensic mental health, mental health, personality disorder or learning disability setting. The post provides an opportunity for career progression to Grade 11.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing consistent, timely and cost effective forensic mental health social work and safeguarding services to the patients detained in our service. You will work closely with the patients; their families; multi-disciplinary colleagues and external agencies.
You will maintain high standards of professional practice and to be responsible for social work provision in accordance with the legislative and regulatory framework, national standards and departmental and host NHS Trust guidance and procedures.
You must be registered with Social Work England and have successfully completed the ASYE programme.
