We are looking for a confident, capable and compelling leader who can articulate the future vision for Public Health Services, inspire, influence and deliver change.
Joining the Public Health Team, you will lead on system change and population health management, providing strategic leadership to support the Integrated Care System for East Riding of Yorkshire. This is a key strategic Public Health Consultant role which is part of a nationally recognised, leading and progressive Public Health Team.
You will be responsible for:
- leading on both the Public Health Intelligence and Healthcare public health programmes by providing public health expertise and capacity
- informing and influencing the planning and delivery of health and care in East Riding of Yorkshire, with a particular focus on reducing health inequalities by influencing system wide prevention strategies and actions
- the council’s Public Health CPD and training programme, Joint Strategic Needs Assessment programme and public health into system wide partnership development.
Acting as part of the service senior leadership team you will contribute to providing health protection advice and guidance to both council and system partners in response to the coronavirus pandemic. You will also take part in public health on-call arrangements as agreed with the Statutory Director of Public Health.
In delivering the strategic responsibility, you will need to demonstrate expertise across the full range of relevant competencies as set out by the Faculty of Public Health. In negotiation with the Director of Public Health you may be asked to take on responsibilities that are underpinned by any of the FPH competencies.
