The opportunity to be a Senior Practitioner is within the South Locality Dunstable South Family Support Team based at Watling House. You will have relevant experience in understanding the best way of applying different social work theories and come up with ideas and knowledge to deliver imaginative ambitious interventions that improve outcomes for all involved. You will also have the communication skills to work with other agencies and present high-quality reports. The Family Support team pride ourselves on our small teams and manageable cases loads allowing workers to undertake meaningful practice with children, young people and their families.
This is an exciting opportunity for a social worker to develop. The Senior Practitioner has a specific role, which will support and develop practice and career opportunities. We are proud that in Family Support we enable workers to gain a vast amount of experiences and opportunities in working with families who are subject to Child In Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline Processes and Court Work. As part of our work we are embracing Motivational Interviewing and Systemic Models of Social Work practice which we continue to develop and embed. The Senior Practitioner will be key in supporting these developments and the development of the Locality Model.
