Andrew Christie, chair of Birmingham Children’s Trust, said: “The Trust was established to improve how children’s social care services are delivered in Birmingham. For many families, this starts with our response at the front door of our services.
“It is extremely encouraging to receive positive feedback from Ofsted following their latest focused visit, and this tells us that our progress is on track.
Ofsted recognised that leaders know the service and that they understand what further improvements are required."
We are looking for social work practitioners, who have completed their ASYE, to join our teams and drive through and embed; our improvements for the Children, young people and their families across the City.
Why Do We do this
Our vision is to put children and young people at the heart of everything we do. We have a clear singe focus: to deliver excellent social work and family support for the city’s most vulnerable children, young people and families.
We have a stable, dedicated and committed workforce; with below average levels of agency staff and low staff turnover.
During Ofsted’s visit early 2020 they were quoted as saying “All staff spoken to are positive about working for the Trust…”
“Staff report receiving consistently good support from all tiers of highly visible leaders and managers…”
We are driving innovation across the region leading on and implementing a local Family Drugs & Alcohol Court. Expanding our family group conference service. Forming partnerships with national research with the ‘What Works Centre’ as well as investing in partnership-based research. We have also acquired the copywrite to deliver the ground-breaking therapeutic programme ‘Breaking the Cycle’.
There has never been a better time to join the Birmingham Children’s Trust and develop your career.
