About the role

PART TIME TEACHING ASSISTANT 3 REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2020

Peacehaven Heights Primary School & Nursery is situated on the coast about 6 miles east of Brighton and is one of three primary schools in the area that are all PFI schools. The three primary schools work closely together sharing expertise and good practices, supporting each others strengths.The school currently has an Interim Executive Board (IEB)  in place to provide expertise, support and capacity to the school.

Peacehaven Heights is larger than average with a nursery in house, it is a split site school and is two form entry. The school is very popular with very few spare places throughout. Currently on roll there are approximately 450 pupils including nursery. Our pupils are delightful, behave well and are excited about their learning.  We have designated Beach School status, which supports learning outside the classroom and is a thematic style of learning.

The Headteacher and IEB are looking to appoint a Part TimeTeaching Assistant 3 with lunchtime duty to work 3 mornings a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am - 1.00pm) )and to be part of our committed, professional team. The successful candidate will ideally hold a relevant qualification or be working towards one, have experience of working with children and be sensitive towards the needs of the children and their families. Experience of working with Upper KS2 would be advantageous The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory completion of all pre-employment requirements. Your starting salary will be subject to pro rata as the above position is part-time, term-time only.

  • a  willingness to interact with children across the full primary age range
  • a commitment to all children, whatever their needs
