£53,018 per annum for 36 hours per week based at Guildford Borough Council offices, Millmead, Guildford, Surrey GU2 4BB. However successful candidate would need to be flexible as there is likely to be travel within Surrey ongoing (not just during the Covid-19 situation).
This is a full time 12 month secondment contract covering a secondment.

About the role
Exciting Opportunity in Contract Management and Commissioning
An opportunity has arisen to join the developing Adult Social Care Directorate’s Contract and Commissioning Support Service CCSS which brings together commissioning and procurement expertise with a robust supplier and contract management approach to offer high quality, flexible and agile support to our locality based Adult Social Care commissioners. The successful applicant for the Commissioning & Contract Manager position will play a crucial part in expanding the role of the CCSS in rapidly changing environment.
A key part of the role will be to lead on the relationship and contract management of some of the Directorate’s biggest countywide grants, contracts and suppliers. We are looking for commercially aware people who are skilled in negotiation with national providers and who are not afraid to challenge to ensure good quality outcomes and value for money in the delivery of our commissioning intentions. A sound understanding of commissioning, procurement and contract management, ideally in a public sector health and social care setting, is essential.
The successful applicant will also be expected to collaborate as part of the wide Commissioning and linking with Procurement colleagues to review and develop commissioning options and service specifications. To do so it is important that you are able to form effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, that you have an eye for detail and can make decisions based on evidence.
