About the role
We are recruiting a high-performing Adults Social Worker who is looking to develop their career in an innovative local authority, committed to realising potential.
Our Adults Social Workers provide services across a number of areas including Initial Assessment, Locality and Hospital Teams and a specialist Learning Disability Service.
We currently have a vacancy in our Triage Team. The team works with Hillingdon Social Care Direct to ensure the immediate safety of residents' referred to Adult Social Care, whilst fully utilising early intervention/prevention, universal and voluntary sector services. The team deals with issues that can be resolved without allocation and/or will assist in ensuring high quality referrals, so that only those matters requiring allocation are passed to the allocating teams. General enquiries and minor changes where there are no new needs approving contacts for new community cases. Risk assessing incoming referrals and providing any necessary same day/next day response ahead of assessment. Triaging Safeguarding concerns that are received via the front door (HSCD) and the decision to progress to a Safeguarding Enquiry. Carrying out initial enquires on concerns received via working with partner agencies (HIDVA, DV MARAC, SPA, Mental health & Police). Section 42 enquiries in exceptional circumstances (e.g. enquiries that span several different teams or where teams themselves are implicated in an investigation).
You will be a qualified, experienced Social Worker looking to progress their career or an accomplished Senior Social Worker, with a wide range of experience working with Older Adults and/or People with Disabilities. You will have developed your skills and knowledge with further post qualifying training and have specific experience with the relevant client group.
You will be innovative and creative with a willingness to explore new models of working to improve the outcomes for our service users. Moreover, you will be a highly motivated individual who is able to build strong relationships to deliver the best possible outcomes for vulnerable people.
