Do you have a passion for helping people to remain independent, eat well, get out, socialise and be healthier and happier? Then this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Wellbeing Prescription service, one of the largest Social Prescribing services in the UK.

We are recruiting for a Part Time Wellbeing Advisor to join the Wellbeing Prescription Team. As a Wellbeing Advisor you will help to deliver our innovative Social Prescribing service which works to promote lifestyle change and prevent ill-health.

As a Wellbeing Advisor you will work 1-2-1 or in groups with clients within East Surrey GP Surgeries and/or with clients in their homes. You may support clients via a range of channels, including face to face, telephone, email and video consultations.

Using behaviour change techniques including motivational interviewing, you will help to identify the client’s health and social needs, encourage change and signpost to local services. Clients may be referred to you for a variety of reasons including loneliness, low mood, social isolation, obesity and inactive lifestyle.

Although the Wellbeing Prescription service is based in Oxted, the Wellbeing Advisor role is agile as we support clients registered to all 18 East Surrey GP Surgeries.

The post is initially funded until March 2021, with the possibility of continuation subject to funding.
