Salary NS14: £39,782 rising to £41,675 per annum
with a possible Market Supplement up to £3,000 for an exceptional candidate

Are you the forward thinking and innovative Communications and Marketing Manager we need? Can you can develop and deliver our Communications and Marketing Strategy to enhance our reputation, develop our Brand and promote the District and our discretionary services. Leading a small team you will be responsive to the needs of our various stakeholders, delivering value for money with honest and transparent communications.
You will have substantial experience of digital media, PR and reputation management at a senior level within a public sector setting. Managing a varied workload with conflicting deadlines in a high-pressured environment you will be adept at leading and advising on change, service delivery, emergency situations and reputational crisis management.
Able to manage and develop staff within a large and diverse organisation you will have a good understanding and insight into the workings and processes of political organisations and working with elected members. You will have knowledge of local government and the policies affecting it including the opportunities and challenges it faces. With a Degree level qualification in journalism, public relations or Marketing/Advertising you will be able to demonstrate evidence of continuous professional, management and leadership development.
You will have good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages and other bespoke packages and use of communications technology including website and social media. With the ability to gain the confidence of a wide range of people in order to maintain effective working relationships you’ll be a strategic, creative thinker who shows initiative and innovation, providing solutions to the various communication challenges the organisation faces.
