HR Communications & Engagement Lead
PO1 - £32,430 - £34,794 per annum
Our HR Communications & Engagement Lead supports the wider HR Team to lead, design & deliver the internal/ external communications strategy across both Councils. Involved in a variety of projects they build strong working relationships within various services, including the Marketing & Communications Teams.
Supporting the HR Customer & Business Manager, the role is crucial to developing Marketing and Communications strategies, whilst maximising the use of social media to reach wider audiences. Responsible for our online presence the role also supports stakeholders by ensuring all information, advice and guidance is easily accessible, across the right channels.
As the HR & OD content editor, the role manages HR communication campaigns, including (but not limited to), HR customer surveys, Intranet site developments, and continuous improvement initiatives. By analysing user research and feedback provided, the role enables the service to adapt the customer experience to enhance the overall service delivery.
This role offers you the opportunity to mould the communications and engagement strategy for the future, so we’re looking for someone who is forward-thinking, ambitious and customer centric. With the ability to persuade and motivate teams to try different approaches, you will have great interpersonal skills to influence and change ways of thinking.
You’ll have experience of working within a similar marketing and communications role, delivering successful plans and campaigns to increase customer satisfaction and engagement. Working in a shared service environment you’ll have also gained exposure to the HR employee lifecycle, which will support your understanding of the various communications needs of the service.
However, these aren’t the only skills that we’re looking for. To be shortlisted to interview, you must be able to clearly evidence the following areas within your application:
- Experience of driving improvement initiatives and implementing business changes, whilst demonstrating skills in stakeholder engagement to achieve common objectives
- Great organisation and prioritisations skills, managing projects in a fast paced environment, ensuring transparent communication throughout
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively, using the appropriate ‘tone of voice’ to connect with different audiences.
- Producing and presenting high quality written and verbal reports for audiences based on market intelligence and internal data.
