About the role
Surrey County Council delivers high-quality care for service-users with mental health and substance misuse needs. We are leading the way in implementing new ways of working in personalisation and a recovery-focused approach. Our goal is for customers to be able to make informed choices about the services they use, be more in control of their care and to become active citizens within their community.
We currently have 3 vacancies in our AMHP team West based in Guildford for Approved Mental Health Professionals:
- 2 x Full time posts (36 hours per week)
- 1 x Part time post (18 hours per week)
These posts offer exciting opportunities to help us provide a multi-disciplinary service, raise social work standards and promote social inclusion.
To join us, you should have a Professional Qualification in Social Work and Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) status with post qualifying experience that should include direct work with those who have mental health needs. In addition to this, you should have a working knowledge of legislation, assessments, preparation of care plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes. You should also hold a current full driving licence and have use of a vehicle to undertake this role.
