Walnut Close is a 35 bed Residential unit with 24 Frail beds and 11 Dementia beds. This role is a 30 hrs post working on a rotation pattern. Your shift pattern will, including early and late shifts and alternate weekends, with both supervisory and hands-on responsibilities. As well as deputising for the Assistant or Unit Manager when required, you will work alongside and manage the care team to ensure that the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents are met.
The successful candidate will be adaptable and approachable with two years care experience, ideally experiencing dementia care and care of people with elderly frailties.
They will have good working knowledge of CQC standards together with a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and prepared to work towards an NVQ Level 3. Familiar with the principles of person-centred care and the Mental Capcity Act, they will also posess excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills, a 'can do' attitude and the ability to remain calm when dealing with challenging and difficult situations.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
