We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with an interest in supporting families with Disabled children in the community. Your role will focus on enabling children and families to engage in safe moving and positioning; enabling engagement in daily activities through postural management equipment and increasing safety and independence through the recommendations of minor and major building works. In order to work collaboratively with families you will need to be a good communicator, flexible and innovative, whilst working within the constraints of a Local Authority budget.
The Disabled Children’s Team sits in Education and is part of the SEN and Learning Support Team. The Disabled Children’s Team is made up of Social Workers; Occupational Therapists; Business Support and Family Support Worker’s. Multidisciplinary working will be expected to ensure that children are safeguarded. You will be supervised by a Senior Occupational Therapist within the Team.
