This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new Public Protection Partnership shared service which includes Bracknell Forest, Wokingham and West Berkshire Councils.
The job is to help support the Public Protection Partnership by providing a Lead Officer role within the Applications Team which is part of the Partnership Support Team.
On a day to day basis the post holder will be asked to manage a range of technical staff and provide support and leadership as the team process and perform the functions which support the processing of all of the applications made to the Public Protection Partnership, which includes Environmental Health, Licensing, Trading Standards and intelligence functions. The post holder will be the central point for streamlining and creating continuity of service across all of the three councils supported by the Public Protection Partnership. They will be the key contact for managers across the service as well as locally based managers, committees and other service areas that require interaction with the Partnerships applications team. They will ensure that their team maintain a high level of customer service while continually seeking to improve delivery and develop their staff. They will have line management responsibility of up to 10 FTE.
