Are you an experienced senior leader? Are you an excellent and inspirational leader focussed on enhancing pupil achievement and improving the outcomes in primary schools? Do you aspire for outstanding in all you do? Are you looking to further enhance your career whilst providing strategic support to East Sussex schools as a school based leader? Are you interested in working with schools in a range of senior leadership roles on an interim basis? Do you have significant experience of leadership in primary schools? If so, we are looking for you to join the team. The start date will be agreed following a successful interview process.

East Sussex Standards & Learning Effectiveness Service provides leadership, support and challenge to schools. It is committed to raising standards of achievement and improving the quality of education for all learners.

An opportunity has arisen to work as part of our team of interim leaders on a fixed term contract for a year,  as a one year secondment or a permanent post.

As an interim leader you will:

  • Work closely with identified primary schools as a school based leader as deployed by SLES
  • Provide and lead the strategic vision for the school including managing budgets and performance management
  • Ensure all statutory requirements are met and relevant documentation adhered to, the Ofsted framework and Keeping Children Safe in Education and all Health and Safety legislation.
