We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional who wishes to be part of our rough sleeper team. This role is funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and is aimed at reducing the number of people rough sleeping in the borough.
You will be a key member within a wider team of homelessness professionals working together to prevent homelessness and rough sleeping locally. Your role will be to provide housing solutions for rough sleepers. You will use your skills as a housing professional to identify housing solutions not only in London, but also further afield.
The role would be suited to someone that has experience of working with vulnerable adults and has a good sound knowledge of the homeless reduction act and other key legislation. The role will encourage you to think outside the box to engage with the rough sleeping population in different locations, such as day centres, shelters or even the streets.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, able to communicate with vulnerable adults, landlords and accommodation providers.
The ideal candidate will be resilient and flexible and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a debarring and disclosure service check.
