We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Advisory and Support Teacher to join our skilled and professional Virtual School for Children Looked After.
Applications are welcome from experienced teachers with QTS with experience of working with vulnerable and disadvantaged children, particular those who are Looked After by the Local Authority.
As part of Islington Virtual School Team will be responsible for ensuring that the council fulfils its statutory responsibilities to promote the educational achievement of looked-after children.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge in relation to all aspects of education, including Special Education Needs, exclusions and behaviour management. The ability to work creatively and productively with a wide range of professionals and make effective decisions about children and young people’s education is essential.
