Specialist Family Support Worker (Child and Young Person Exploitation) - Early Help and Prevention
Salary: £24,799 - £28,785 p.a, pro rata (£12,399 - £14,392 for 18.5 hours)
18.5 hours per week - hours to be worked across 2.5 days although can be discussed.
DBS Disclosure at Enhanced level will be required prior to any offer of employment and this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Are you able to demonstrate a range of excellent skills, which will support and empower families to make positive changes? Do you understand the challenges families experience and have a creative approach to solving them? If so, you might be the person we are looking for
Reporting to the multi-agency leadership team, you will engage with familes and young people to assess need holistically and work with them to develop sustainable solutions that improve their ability to achieve better outcomes for their children.
You will ensure that help is provided to families and young people in the most effective way to ensure that improved outcomes are achieved, including reducing demand on statutory child protection services and other specialist services. You will have specialist knowledge in a specific area of practice that will contribute to the Portsmouth Team Around the Worker approach within the Multi agency Teams. We are currently interested in hearing from applicants with experience in Child and Young Person Exploitation.
You will hold a nationally recognised qualification such as NVQ level 5 or other higher level qualification or have equivalent experience. You have specialist knowledge and experience in a specific area of practice, we are particularly interested in applicants who have knowledge of child and young person exploitation and are able to demonstrate high quality delivery in this field.
Occasional evening and out of hours working are requirements for this position.
