The SWIFT Specialist Family Service in East Sussex is comprised of a number of different services which undertake assessment and intervention with families in which children are at significant risk of emotional, physical and sexual harm and neglect as a result of complex difficulties. SWIFT encompasses specialist services in mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse, learning disability and sexual risk. The multi-disciplinary staff team includes practitioners from Health and Social Care whose expertise in undertaking assessment and providing intervention within each of the specialist areas ensures a robust and integrated approach to supporting families.
We are looking to recruit an experienced practitioner for an exciting and challenging post within the sexual risk theme of SWIFT. The successful candidate will have experience in working within the field of sexual abuse, with adult perpetrators of sexual harm, young people with sexually harmful behaviour, non-abusing partners/carers and their children. They will have excellent skills in assessment, intervention and written and verbal communication. They will have experience in providing evidence-based reports, giving evidence in Court, and providing consultation and advice to other professionals. The role will include service delivery, supervision of staff and practice development.
The SWIFT Specialist Family Service aims to promote positive change in families while seeking to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children as a priority. The Service is committed to continuous professional development and training to remain up to date with current research, theory, policy and practice.
Hours of work: 37 hours per week
