About the Post:
As Market Manager, you will lead the team responsible for the operation of all the markets in the Barnsley borough. The largest market in the borough, the newly opened Barnsley Market is at the heart of the new town centre development, and is recognised nationally as one of the best markets in the country. The outdoor market in Barnsley is currently under redevelopment and this role will play a key role in shaping how this is designed and managed in the future. You will work closely with a range of partners to develop our four local markets in Goldthorpe, Wombwell, Hoyland and Penistone.
We’re looking for someone who will play a key role in the Market Management Team. You will be able to demonstrate that you are an experienced confident leader with a clear respect for people. Ideally you will have experience of; managing markets or retail environments, managing frontline teams, health & safety and excellent communication and relationship building skills.
