The Housing Needs Team is looking to recruit a part time Tenancy Officer to join our busy team, four days per week. You will have a positive outlook, be proactive and able to manage a varied workload effectively.
The main duties will include generating a supply of private rented accommodation for housing customers, managing our temporary accommodation properties, helping sustain tenancies and dealing with homelessness applications.
Due to an increase in the workload of the Housing Needs Service this post will also be expected to cover our homelessness duty service.
An understanding of the private rented sector is essential. You will have the ability to build excellent working relationships with private landlords and lettings agents to increase the supply of privately rented accommodation for our customers. Alongside this you will be able to communicate effectively but with compassion to our customers.
You will also bring experience in housing advice, specifically on homelessness and tenancy law.
