This is a unique opportunity to join our busy dynamic specialist Sensory Impairment Team as a qualified Rehabilitation Officer Visual Impairment. You will be planning and delivering a professional rehabilitation service for adults who have visual impairments and often additional challenges and disabilities, e.g. hearing impairments, physical mobility problems, learning disabilities, mental health issues.
You will complete needs and risk assessments and plan interventions under the prevention agenda of the Care Act, will undertake mobility, orientation and daily living skills training and arrange for relevant specialist equipment and adaptations with the aim of supporting adults to enhance their independence and quality of life and achieve agreed goals.
You will be proficient in completing high quality assessments and support plans, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability work as part of a team as well as independently and the motivation to make a real difference to adults with visual impairments.
Required Qualification: Diploma or Foundation Degree in Rehabilitation Studies (Visual Impairment) or equivalent
