Deputy Head Teacher
Contract: This is a term time only, permanent post, 4 or 5 days a week (negotiable)
Salary Grade Range: Leadership 1 to 4
Actual Salary Range: £39,059 to £41,587 (4 days) or £48,824 to £51,984 (5 days) per annum
The Head teacher and Governors at Kate Greenaway Nursery School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, energetic and committed Deputy Head Teacher for our small, vibrant Nursery School.
We are based at the heart of King’s Cross, a richly diverse area in an exciting period of development. We have 81 FTE children aged 6 months to 5 years old.
At our most recent Ofsted inspection in October 2019 we were graded ‘Outstanding’.
Our staff team are friendly and professional. We are proud of our innovative practice and multi-agency approach to achieving the best outcomes for children. We have a unique outdoor learning environment which is designed to meet the needs of young children.
As a Deputy Head Teacher you will work with the Leadership Team to lead and develop the education and care provision at Kate Greenaway. This role also includes responsibility as the Nursery School SENCO.
To be part of our team you will need to have:
- Significant QTS post-qualifying experience of delivering the EYFS within the 0-5 age range;
- Successfully completed the National SENCO Award;
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a leadership role in an early years setting;
- Enthusiasm and commitment to the highest quality practice with children;
- A positive, creative approach to managing change.
