Salary: Grade 8 (£32,878 - £36,876 per annum)
Hours: 37 per week
The Social Services Directorate is looking to appoint a Social Worker within the Adult Services Division to work with vulnerable people facing challenges and encouraging them to resolve problems and take action to improve their lives.
The successful candidates will need to undertake the assessment and care management process with vulnerable adults, including identification of risks, in accordance with current policies and procedures of the authority. You will promote citizens outcomes and support them to live independently in their communities and effectively manage a caseload. You will undertake assessments under the Wales safeguarding procedures and supervise, support and mentor members of the team.
You will have clear verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure, including the ability to meet tight deadlines
Essential criteria for this post include but are not limited to;
- Degree in Social Work or Diploma in Social Work
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Knowledge and understanding of complex care management
The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.
