Job Title: Plans Implementation Officer
Location: Based at County Hall, Hertford
Salary Range: £24,799 p.a. progressing to £26,999
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: 2 year fixed term
An opportunity has arisen for a new Plans Implementation Officer within the Active & Safer Travel Team. The role will support the team to implement the County Council’s Local Transport Plan 4.
The role will secure high quality travel plans for expanding schools in the county and ensure a smooth handover to colleagues within the Active and Safer Travel Team who will oversee the ongoing implementation and monitoring process.
The role will also include working with the Countryside Management & Rights of Way Team to respond to planning applications to ensure improved access through a better connected and improved rights of way network.
In addition, the Plans Implementation Officer will work with the planning process to secure developer commitments and financial contributions to maximise sustainable access and ensure sustainable options are considered at the earliest design stages.
The role is varied with regular deadlines and requires someone who is comfortable working with people across multiple teams and organisations and is committed to the outcomes of sustainable travel.
