With effect from 1 July 2020 pay will increase to £38,458 to £42,284 per year

+ up to 18.5% employer pension contribution

In this varied post you will be working closing with various departments to provide tailored professional financial advisory service to the business. You will contribute to the financial planning including preparation of long-term plans, strategic and operational developments supporting Senior Managers and Councillors within the service.

 

You will support senior managers in the preparation of the Statutory Accounts and the annual budget cycle including revenue and capital. Preparation and submission of government returns and charity accounts.

 

Educated to degree level or with relevant experience of working within this environment, you will ideally be a member of an appropriate professional body (CCAB or AAT) or have equivalent professional experience.

 

Up to date working knowledge of relevant legislation, as well as expertise in medium and long term planning, costing and SeRCOP is essential for this post. Previous experience of supervising a small team is desirable.
