The Business Support Administrator in our Family Safeguarding Team is a very busy role working alongside four others to support a front line social work team that carries out statutory social work tasks and court directed work for children and young people in West Berkshire. On a typical day you will be answering telephone calls from families and professionals, inputting accurate information on to a database, processing email requests, producing letters as well as organising and minuting meetings that can be complex and sensitive.
The successful applicant will have a strong administration background in a fast paced, customer-facing role and have experience of producing accurate data and documents as well as some financial experience. Although minuting experience would be desirable we are willing to consider applications from those who have good accurate typing speeds and would like to train as competent minute takers.
The post is 30 hours over four days from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Job offers will be made to successful interviewees during the course of this advertisement. The advert will close once all vacancies have been filled.
Applicants may be invited to attend a short telephone interview in the first instance and successful applicants will then be notified if their application is being taken further to a second interview.
West Berkshire Council offer excellent employment benefits and access to a wide range of relevant training. You will be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement of 27 days per annum rising to a maximum of 32 days, depending on your hours, how long you have worked for us.
