An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join the ISEND Sensory Needs Service, supporting children with hearing needs in facilities within one of our mainstream schools.  Although your base will be the Hearing Support Facility at Willingdon Primary you may, on occasion, be requested to cover at any of the other HSFs at Manor Primary, Uckfield; Priory School, Lewes and Willingdon Community School, Eastbourne. You will be recompensed for any additional travel

The post holders will be managed by the senior teacher in the support facility and will assist in the support and inclusion of pupils who are hearing impaired in lessons in the mainstream school and where appropriate for individual and small group sessions.

Whilst experience of working with children with a hearing impairment and/or special needs is desirable this is not essential as on-going training and support will be given. You will enjoy working in a small friendly and supportive team within a mainstream school.
