The Environment, Transport & Infrastructure (ETI) directorate is responsible for a wide range of services including highways, transport, planning, countryside and waste management. These services are critical for people living, working and travelling through Surrey, delivered by the county council or in partnership.
The Leadership Support Team provides support to the ETI Leadership Team, cross-directorate programmes and projects which in turn supports the delivery of the Corporate, Directorate and Service objectives. The team provides support across a range of areas which include petty cash, compliments and complaints, Freedom of Information requests, facilitation of meetings, diary management and events' administration. The team are the 'go-to' people for admin-related queries.
You don't need to have any prior experience of working in Highways, but you will need to have a methodical approach, a good eye for detail and be able to use various systems and databases. You will need to be both confident, approachable and committed to delivering excellent customer service to colleagues.
The main responsibilities for the PA and project support officer are:
- Manage Group Inbox and Respond to Enquiries
- Diary Management
- Arrangement and Administration of Meetings
- Production of Communications
- Organising of Events
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Support to Senior Managers and Leadership Officer
To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:
- At least 2 years experience of working within an office environment
- Previous diary management experience
- An ability to work independently and part of a wider team
- Flexibility to travel to other sites across the county
- Educational requirements: 5 GCSE's at C or above or alternative equivalent and/or equivalent experience
