We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team of Enforcement Officers and to help us fight back against offenders committing Environmental Crimes.
CCTV plays a vital role in the identifying perpetrators of Environmental Crimes and as an authorised officer of the Council, you will utilise CCTV to investigate offences supported by the senior officers and team manager , agree a strategy for deployment and monitoring of cameras to support investigations that may lead to fines or prosecutions.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and an enquiring mind, to be able to identify and process evidence that may lead to successful prosecutions relating to crimes such as fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling and breaches of Public Space Protection Orders, etc.
You must also be able to deal with confrontational situations and to remain calm but assertive when issuing Fixed Penalty Notices to offenders or fines.
