We are recruiting for Family Support Workers within the SAFE service to provide early help and deliver better outcomes.

Working within Ealing Children's Services offers you a hard-working, caring and innovative environment.  The service has recently been awarded good and outstanding Ofsted ratings (putting us in the top ten of councils) in recognition of our achievements.

Families are offered two varying levels of support from early intervention to the more intensive personalised service that the Brighter Futures initiative delivers.

Supportive Action for Families in Ealing (SAFE) is an area-based, multi-disciplinary service at the forefront of our early intervention offer. SAFE brings together professionals from social work, domestic violence, education, parenting and mental health backgrounds; offering a range of preventative and early help interventions to ensure better long-term outcomes for families.

Post-holders will be responsible for working with children and their families using evidence-based models of intervention to address a range of social, emotional and behavioural issues impacting on daily life. This includes developing strong networks around families to ensure access to professionals and services as well as support within their own community to sustain change.

Ideally, we are looking for people with a social care, family work, parenting support, mental health or youth service background who can demonstrate experience of casework with families, offering support, information and advice where positive outcomes were achieved.

If you are interested and would like to talk through this opportunity, please contact the Team Manager for the SAFE East service) on 020 8825 6190.

Ealing council is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Ealing follows safer recruitment practices to protect children and vulnerable adults.  Post holders will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and Ealing's enhanced vetting process.
