We are looking for a self-motivated Contract Monitoring Officer to assist the Revenues and Benefits Manager monitoring of the Exchequer Services Contract. Your primary role will be checking the accuracy of Housing Benefits and Council Tax Reduction/Support assessments ensuring that they are compliant with the legislation and the contract specification.
Based in the Civic Centre you will support the Council’s contract management processes ensuring that the Council’s contract is delivering best value by monitoring and testing performance and efficiency. You will also assist to develop and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to deliver continuous improvements.
To fulfil this role you will require a comprehensive knowledge of the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction/Support Regulations which will allow you to identify irregularities and make decisions on discretionary areas.
