Please note that Surrey County Council's headquarters, where this role is currently based, will be relocating back into Surrey in 2020 to support our Community Vision 2030. The new headquarters will be based in Woking.
Whilst the primary base for the role holder will currently be Kingston, the work assigned could see the postholder working from any of our sites across the county and so ability to travel is a requirement of the role.
This is a 24 month fixed term contract.
About the role
As a Trainee Practice Support Officer you will play a key role in our dynamic and friendly team. The Practice Support Team provides support for finance matters, IT support, post and case records, deeds and sealing alongside various other duties. The position requires using one's own initiative whilst supporting the team and wider department. In return you will be fully supported and mentored through your qualification and will be given allocated time whilst at work to complete coursework.
We are looking for someone who has great attention to detail and is able to communicate well with different levels of staff. Someone who can take on multiple projects at once and can execute work on strict deadlines. Willingness to support staff when needed and who can share their creativity in the development of new ideas to the rest of the team. Most importantly an enthusiastic and can-do attitude.
