Unqualified Rate Point 1 - 3; Hourly Rate: £22.77 - £25.20



Role Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic Photography tutor to join our innovative and dynamic team and teach across a range of levels.

Graded Good by Ofsted (November 2016), come and join our supportive learning environment where you will be given space to develop and progress in your teaching career.



Key Responsibilities

  1. To provide high quality teaching, learning and support for learners in the Post 16 Sector for Tower Hamlets Council

  2. To assist the Programme Team with a full range of curriculum development for the Idea Store Learning Service programme of adult and family provision.

  3. To contribute to the promotion and development of a culture of adult learning in Tower Hamlets.



Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of General Photography.

  • Aptitude for adapting/developing teaching methods to suit learner needs.

  • Knowledge and understanding of current best practice in teaching and learning.

  • Knowledge of and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of learners, including Prevent.

  • A nationally recognised teaching qualification commensurate with the post (PTLLS, DTLLS or Higher) or evidence of undertaking appropriate study to gain such qualifications.

  • Experience of teaching adults Photography with a Video DSLR bias or similar.


  • An aptitude for producing documentation evidencing learner progress, planning of learning, assessment and review of teaching and learning within specified deadlines.
