When it comes to asset management, everyone talks about ‘big projects’. But how big? At oneSource, we’re the real thing. With us, you can take on projects with genuine scope and scale. Our property portfolio covers 80 square miles and two London boroughs, and our work has a big impact on the 600,000 people we serve. Building stronger communities? Brighter futures? Better lives? It’s all here. This is bigger than big.

Assets Advisor

Grade 8 - £39,774 - £43,590

You’ll advise on a wide variety of corporate asset management, estate management and valuation services across the borough of Havering, with occasional working in Newham. Our property portfolio is diverse covering commercial, agricultural and operational property, so no day will be the same. One day you might be identifying needs within the Council’s Asset Management Plan and preparing data and the next you’ll be preparing property reports and negotiating complex lease terms.

Working under the direction of the Principal Asset Surveyor, you’ll also provide leadership on asset-related projects, supporting asset reviews and developing high-value partnerships with stakeholders.

At oneSource we’re constantly pushing to increase the quality of our services whilst delivering a resilient business model. You’ll make this happen by helping our Council services make the best decisions based on the complex data that’s out there.

There is real breadth to this role and you’ll need extensive local authority experience in estates and valuations, with a comprehensive knowledge of property management. You’ll also need flexibility as you’ll occasionally be working across our two boroughs and managing competing priorities and deadlines. Ideally, you’ll have or be working towards RICS membership.

We need people who can generate innovative solutions to complex issues, keeping in mind the question ‘how will this benefit our customers?’ As you push our standards higher and higher, you’ll also instil integrity and true diversity across our teams, respecting others and expecting the same in return.

All our team members are also expected to share our commitment to equality of opportunity, outstanding health and safety as well as compliance with data protection laws and confidentiality.
