Part Time Property Technician- 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Grade 8 - £39,774 - £43,590pro rata
Our property services are underpinned by research, data management and technical skills. This is where you come in. You’ll have previously worked in an architect’s or estate surveyor’s office and you’ll have solid surveying and inspection skills.
You’ll use your technical skills and love of data to look after the Council’s operational and commercially-let property portfolios. You’ll use research and maintain databases to advise on, and carry out, a full range of valuation and estates duties, whilst also providing property management services. You’ll have direct responsibility for our IT-based property systems (CAD/GIS and property terrier systems) and provide technical assistance on all Council properties.
You’ll also play a crucial role in preparing and analysing detailed records and property papers to assist with our asset management planning and commercial strategy.
Of course, you’ll also be a skilled communicator who can work with all kinds of people, make complex issues easy to understand and resolve disputes where necessary. Flexibility is vital as you will occasionally be working in our partner borough of Havering and managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
