The Camden Careers and Connexions Service sits within the Camden Integrated Youth Support Service. The community element of the Careers and Connexions service focuses on vulnerable NEET 16- 19 year olds. The school careers service is a traded service working with Camden Schools to deliver universal careers advice as well as a targeted service for those at risk of NEET and Young people with SEND. The Careers and Connexions traded service is highly successful and we wish to expand its business.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and diligent Careers & Connexions Personal Adviser to join our multi-disciplinary Progression and Participation team. The successful candidate will provide operational leadership for a team to deliver high quality services as well as delivering Careers Guidance to young people in a school or community setting. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for ensuring services are delivered in line with local and national standards, ensuring safe, effective and consistent delivery across the team.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
To be considered for this vacancy it is essential that you hold a L6 qualification in Careers Guidance.
You will have significant post-qualification experience of working with children and young people’s services such as Careers and Connexions, Education, Youth Work, Substance Misuse, Social Work etc. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing a team and working successfully in a multi-agency context, sharing information appropriately and sensitively both within and outside the organisation.
