An opportunity has arisen for an educational psychologist to join the expanding West Berkshire Educational Psychology Service. The post holder will work in a patch of schools as well as have the opportunity to develop a specialism. There are exciting developments within the service including the roll out of Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) training to children’s services colleagues, whole school screening and intervention in mental health and public health funded mental health training and support in schools. The service has a well-established and successful ELSA programme and works in collaboration with The Therapeutic Thinking Support Team which one of the senior educational psychologist manages.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic outcome focused EP to join our small but well regarded service.
Applicants will need to be a HCPC registered practitioner psychologist. Applications are welcome from trainee educational psychologists in their final year.
The applicant must have a first degree in psychology and a postgraduate qualification in educational psychology.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
